STEVEN A. I. HART, ESQ.

accident attorney Steven A. I. Hart, Esq. is a trial lawyer and a managing principal of Hart & Giudice, LLC.. He was born and raised in the State of New York and has been practicing law in the State of Georgia since 1993.

Mr. Hart received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia in 1988. He then attended Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C. and received his Juris Doctor degree in 1991. Mr. Hart is admitted to practice in all State and Superior Courts in the State of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the State of Georgia. He is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia.

Mr. Hart is recognized as an Advocate by the National College of Advocacy established by the Association of Trial Lawyers of America which is now known as the American Association for Justice. He is also an active member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and has successfully managed the election committee for a Fulton County Superior Court judge.

In 2004, Mr. Hart became one of the youngest trial lawyers in the State of Georgia as well as one of a few African-American lawyers to become a member of the exclusive Million Dollar Advocates Forum. The national membership of this organization is limited to trial lawyers who have demonstrated exceptional skill, experience and excellence in advocacy by achieving a trial verdict, award or settlement in the amount of one million dollars or more.

When not working, Mr. Hart cherishes the time he spends with his wife and children. Occasionally, he finds time to play golf, boat and travel.

 

 

Below is a sample of the verdicts and results for cases successfully handled by Mr. Hart and his firm;

$100,000.00 Motor Vehicle Accident/Driving Under The Influence – Client sustained whiplash and soft tissue injuries when her vehicle was totaled by a drunk driver that ran a stoplight. Policy limit was tendered immediately upon demand by at fault driver’s insurance company.

$135,000.00 Motor Vehicle Accident/Trucking Accident – Corporate manager sustained torn rotator cuff when beverage company truck backed into his car while he was sitting at a traffic light. Settled immediately upon demand by company’s insurance carrier.

$250,000.00 Motor Vehicle Accident/Wrongful Death – Elderly rear seat passenger died instantly in a vehicle that was hit broadside. Upon demand the insurance company tendered the policy limits. Her surviving heirs recovered through her estate.

$450,000.00 Wrongful Death/Premises Liability – Negligent hiring, retention and security at an apartment complex resulted in the shooting of a guest at the property. The office litigated against the property owners and management company to secure a recovery for the minor survivors despite adverse state laws and strong defenses.

$500,000.00 Medical Malpractice/Wrongful Death – Surgical error caused a catheter tip to pierce the brachiocephalic vien of the client, an end stage renal patient. Despite the warnings of the radiologist and nurse, the surgeon discharged the patient who died within 48 hours thereafter. The office litigated against a major medical center and the surgeon to recover for the client’s estate, widow and surviving children prior to trial.

$975,000.00 Medical Malpractice – Mismanagement and over-prescription of a powerful corticosteroid caused our client - a young man in his early thirties to develop bilateral necrosis of both hips requiring hip replacement surgery. The office filed suit and developed the case. The case was resolved after several hours of mediation.

$1,000,000.00 Wrongful Death/Premises Liability - Negligence of tree removal company resulted in quadreplegia and ultimate death of our client. Our office litigated against two very competent and aggressive defense firms but after securing a favorable court ruling prior to trial the policy limits were paid to our client’s estate, widow and surviving children.

$1,000,000.00 Premises Liability – Negligent security at a downtown Marta station led to the brutal attack and attempted robbery of a young woman while she was on her way home from a trade show. For greater tactical advantage, special counsel was associated and the case was thoroughly prepared. The jury returned a verdict after approximately four (4) hours of deliberation.

$4,000,000.00 Wrongful Death – Brutal wrongful death resulted in a trial and judgment in favor of the estate and the surviving parents of a young woman. Further details are deliberately omitted for the privacy of the surviving family.
